Precision MC Processing with Press Formed Sweep LinesThe GT Type-S wedges are in a classic teardrop profile but processed with the latest technologies. A combination of grooves milled by MC Processing and press-formed sweep-lines provides stable spin-performance when the ball contacts the face from various angles at impact.
Forged Raw Carbon Steel with Matte-Black CoatForged raw carbon steel S20C provides a superior feel and distance control on delicate short-game shots with greater spin. The matte-black coat on the clubhead reduces glare.*
*GT Type-S wedges are forged from raw carbon steel without using a coating or plating which protects the surface. This allows each wedge to generate greater spin while conforming to the Rules of Golf. The temporary matte-black finish on the clubhead prevents rusting prior to use and is designed to gradually wear off during the normal course of play and when contacting other clubs in your golf bag. As a result, the clubhead will rust over time.
While the removal of the matte-black finish and the development of rust on the clubhead do not interfere with the playability of the GT Type-S wedges, if you wish to maintain the matte-black finish and to minimize the rust from developing, the following care instructions are recommended.
1. Remove dirt and moisture from the surface and the grooves of the clubhead with a soft towel after each shot.
2. To remove dirt trapped in the grooves, rinse the clubhead with water and use a nylon brush to dislodge the dirt.
3. The use of a metal brush or scouring pad is not recommended, as this will also remove the matte-black finish.
4. Do not use any acid based solvent to clean the clubhead, as it may remove the matte-black finish and increase rust formation.
5. Keep the clubhead clean and dry after each round and wipe the clubhead down with a non-acid lubricant cleaner to help prevent rust from developing.SPECS
